Maternity Photography in London

Pregnancy is a time that can feel both fleeting and all-consuming – a quiet shift before everything changes.

My maternity photography sessions are designed to be simple, relaxed, and centred around you. There’s no need to perform or pose in a particular way. Instead, I focus on capturing natural, thoughtful moments that reflect how this time really feels.

Most sessions take place in my South London studio – a calm, private space designed to feel comfortable and unhurried. If you’d prefer, sessions can also take place at home or outdoors, but the approach is always the same: gentle, relaxed, and guided only where needed.

Natural, Relaxed Maternity Photography

Maternity photography doesn’t need to feel staged or overly styled.

I work with natural light and simple surroundings to create images that feel honest and timeless. The focus is on you; your presence, your connection to this moment, and the quiet anticipation of what’s to come.

There’s no expectation to look or act a certain way. We move at your pace, allowing space for moments to unfold naturally rather than trying to create them.

Most maternity sessions take place in my natural light studio in South Wimbledon (SW19), a calm, private space designed to feel comfortable and unhurried.

The studio is a simple, beautifully considered environment – a blank canvas that allows the focus to stay on you, without distractions. There’s space to slow down, take your time, and settle into the session without feeling rushed.

You’re welcome to relax between moments, have a cup of tea, and move at your own pace. I also offer a small client wardrobe, with a selection of dresses available if you’d prefer something simple and effortless for your session.

For many people, the studio offers the balance of privacy, comfort, and soft natural light – creating a setting that feels both personal and considered.

Other Options: At Home or Outdoors

If you’d prefer something more personal or outdoors, sessions can also take place at home or in a quiet location across London.

At-home sessions offer a more intimate feel, while outdoor sessions can bring in natural surroundings and open space. If you’re unsure what would suit you best, I’m always happy to guide you.

When to Book Your Maternity Photoshoot

Most maternity sessions take place between 28 and 36 weeks of pregnancy.

At this stage, your bump is clearly visible, but you’re still likely to feel comfortable enough to relax into the session. That said, there’s no strict rule – the timing should feel right for you.

I recommend getting in touch a few weeks in advance to check availability, especially if you have a particular timeframe in mind.

What to Expect From Your Session

Maternity sessions are relaxed and unhurried, typically lasting around an hour.

There’s no need to prepare anything beyond what feels manageable. I’ll offer gentle direction where needed, but the focus is on keeping things natural and comfortable.

Many people I photograph tell me they feel a little unsure about being in front of the camera — that’s completely normal. My approach is designed to put you at ease, so the experience feels calm and considered rather than pressured.

After the session, you’ll receive a carefully edited gallery of images that reflect this moment in a way that feels honest and personal.
