I'm here to give you the tools and guidance you need.

Let yourself commit and feel confident in:

Posing…
This workshop will focus on poses you can recreate in your own space, during your own sessions, to create relaxed and intimate images that your clients will adore.

Prompting…
You will learn key prompts I use during much of my work that help guide your clients through the session, so they will soon feel at ease in front of the camera.

Welcome Guides…
If your business is relatively new, then we’ll walk through how to use Welcome Guides to help prep your clients and ensure your shoot goes smoothly.

Culling & Editing…
I’ve got my culling down to a fine art, and you can too! I’ll help you streamline your post-production processes, from editing software to delivering galleries.

This is for you if:

You want to feel empowered and educated when you pick up your camera, knowing you’re producing your very best work.

You’re looking for inspiration to take home and use with your own clients, to elevate your current work to a whole new level.

You struggle to think of prompts during a shoot and spend more time trying to think of the next move, than focusing on the shot.

You need help when you’re back at your desk, struggling with culling and drawn out editing sessions.

You want your clients to know they’re in safe hands and share guides with them that will elevate your client journey.

Don’t just take my word for it…

Natalie Silvester, Isle of Wight

Learning from Sarah was such a treat; her talent, experience and way with clients are second-to-none, and to get to learn from her was invaluable. Since Sarah’s workshop, I have set up my own studio space and have carried her teachings with me throughout.

Malika Jane, palm springs

Where do I begin...It was everything we all hoped for and more. It was a true reflection of how shoots go, and I learned so much. Sarah’s studio is so beautiful and such a welcoming space. Sarah is so down-to-earth and unbelievably talented at what she does.

Naomi Holligan, London

Sarah has the most amazing way with people and this translates just so effortlessly into her mentoring days. After spending the day at her Maternity workshop in her own studio, I couldn't think of anything I wanted more than to have her come to my own studio.

CEO & DIRECTOR OF Sarah Kate London

You might say that my business is made of two halves. I first spent 10 years as a freelance Fashion Stylist and then after turning 30, turned my hand back to photography (after studying at University). This experience in the fashion industry is one that I draw on all the time in my work today.

I pride myself on sharing a very comprehensive Welcome Guide with my clients once they are booked in, and this is packed with tips on what to wear, what not to wear and everything in between.

I truly believe that guiding your clients to make the best wardrobe choices, perfecting your posing and having reliable prompts to use, is the very best way to create consistency in your work, and produce images your clients will love.

 Frequently Asked Questions

  • The most important thing to consider is that this predominantly a posing workshop, and I will not be talking through lighting or camera settings. It’s therefore important that you are confident with using your own camera without assistance. If you’re happy using your camera, then you will certainly enjoy and benefit from the experience.

  • Whilst this workshop is taking place in my natural light studio, all the poses and prompts would still apply to any location. There will be a range of standing and seated poses, all of which could be used in a home or outdoor environment.

  • Whilst we will be shooting everything using natural light, the core take homes from the workshop will be around posing your clients and useful prompts to use in your work. Whilst the images you take during the workshop may not align with your current editing style, there is still value in what you will learn.

  • Absolutely! I want you to come away with images that you are proud of and can use to help grow your work and perhaps even gain new clients. And remember, you can edit your images the same way you would at home - so if you always shoot natural light, use the same presets and editing techniques and the images should fit well into your current portfolio!

  • Once you’re booked in, you’ll receive an email with lots of useful info about planning your trip. There is a hotel very close by for anyone travelling from further afield and there are options for parking just minutes walk from the studio. I’m on the very outskirts of London, so no scary congestion charge but you might find you need to pay ULEZ. There are also underground and overground stations close by if you prefer not to drive.

  • Of course! You are welcome to leave whenever you need to. Whilst I won’t be able to pause the workshop for you, there will be a 1 hour break for lunch, as well as a tea break again mid afternoon if that helps with planning : )
